How it all started
The idea for Vivid Money came about in 2019. We saw zero or sometimes even negative interest rates on deposits and how customers were struggling with fruitless efforts to grow their savings. Many people believe that saving and building wealth is only available to a select few, but we want to change this.
We founded Vivid to bring a colourful and entirely different experience to modern banking. Banking needs to put the customer first — and in control. With our knowledge and experience, we strive to help our customers earn, grow and increase their capital. Online banking needs to be very easy, and on the other hand, very safe. Vivid Money is a financial platform that allows customers to live their economic lives to the fullest.

Our two founders, Artem and Alex, bring a mix of ambitious vision and rigorous execution along with over 30+ years of experience in financial services and tech. They have successfully disrupted the retail investment market, launched a variety of digital banking products and are now putting all their expertise and ambition into the project they believe will revolutionise a customer’s financial future: Vivid Money.
Who we are today
Vivid Money is an international organisation headquartered in Berlin, with offices in Amsterdam and Moscow. Today our team consists of 200+ professionals of more than 25 different nationalities, all working together to achieve one goal and create a mobile bank that helps its customers make more from their wealth and grow their money.
Christian Krabus
Director for Customer Support
Christian has been in Customer Care for over 20 years now, starting with IBM back in 1998. Working with leading organisations such as Apple, Nike, Microsoft or Netflix enabled him to develop not only specific Customer Service industry experience but also a valuable and transferable skill set in this sector. At Vivid Money, Christian is leading the team that always puts the customer first.
Danny De Gier
Head of Compliance & DPO
Danny has been working for more than 15 years in the Compliance Industry. Prior he has been working for predominantly large financial institutions like ABN-Amro, RBS, HSBC, and Deutsche Bank, to name a few. But for the last three years, he was supporting Fintech start-ups where he built up the Compliance functions from scratch. At Vivid, Danny has the opportunity to build the most trusted and innovative financial institution in Europe.
Anna Tichonova
Human Resources Director
Anna has been working in Human Resources in the financial industry for the last eight years. Before joining Vivid Money, she first worked for an international HQ in Vienna and later a payment provider, where she was responsible for the HR function that supported 250 employees across five offices on three different continents. Anna joined Vivid knowing that everything is possible with the right team.
Thomas Manig
Head of Finance
Thomas has been working for more than 15 years in the Finance Industry starting with Deutsche Bank. Prior to joining Vivid Money Thomas has worked in the Private Equity Industry helping Investors to optimize and automate their finance, taxation and reporting processes. At Vivid, Thomas is making administrational processes running smoothly and under control.
Dr. Joerg Geiben, LL.M.
General Counsel
Joerg has been working for many years in international law firms in New York, London and Frankfurt. Prior to Vivid, he was Managing Director at German banks in the investment banking and asset management fields for more than 12 years. At Vivid, Joerg heads the legal department, serving the company and the customers.
