Learn how to decide whose payments need a sign-off and who gives it. Oisin on the payments that should not leave on one person's say-so, followed by a live demo of approval rules: pick who a rule covers, pick who approves, and everyone else keeps sending the way they always have.

What's on the agenda?
You'll see how to put a second pair of eyes on the payments that need one. A rule covers the roles or the people you pick — everyone outside it is unaffected. We'll start with what you already have by default: teammates who cannot send money on their own wait for one sign-off from someone who can.
Then a live demo in the product — a rule built end to end. Pick who it applies to, a role or a named person. Then pick who approves, and in what order: up to three steps, and up to three sign-offs inside a step, each one a role, a person, or a list to choose from. Nobody approves their own payment, and no one signs the same payment twice.
The last ten minutes are yours. Bring your own team and we'll answer how a rule for one person sits with the rule for their role, what happens to payments already waiting when you change a rule, and where a payment goes if its approver has left.

It is for owners, admins, CFOs and finance managers who answer for what leaves the company account. Only owners and admins can create or change rules — the people a rule covers cannot rewrite it. In this version a rule is matched by who starts the payment, a role or a named person, not by the amount, so payments that need more scrutiny get a longer chain instead.
