About ICON

ICON is a highly interoperable, smart contract-enabled public blockchain protocol and aggregator chain established by the ICON Foundation in 2017. The ICON Project aims to build a decentralized network that allows independent blockchains with different governances to transact with one another without intermediaries. The ICX token is native utility token which is used for paying transaction fees, interacting with decentralized applications, staking and other use cases.
