Super quick Business account creation

I’d give 4.5 stars as my experience with Vivid has been great, but there is always room for improvement. Especially setting up the business account was so easy and fast, this really struck me. The new feature with E-invoicing is also quite useful but needs some more work with additional fields (e.g. my own tax ID). Looking forward trying more the cashback programs.

  • Is a business account mandatory?

    Whether a business account is required depends on your activity and legal form. For Italian corporations such as an S.r.l. or S.p.A., a separate account is legally mandatory.

    For freelancers or small business owners, an online current account for companies may not be mandatory but is recommended to clearly separate private spending from business turnover and keep accounting organised.
  • There is no single answer: what counts is what you use every day. Look closely at the monthly fee and the per-transaction charges, then the cards and IBANs included and the accounting integrations. If your needs are digital, open a business account online and compare the terms.
  • To open a business account, certain requirements must be met:
    • a valid proof of identity of the owner (e.g., identity card or passport);
    • information about your company (legal form, address, field of activity);
    • depending on the legal form, additional company documents such as articles of association or list of partners.
    The procedure is completely digital and consists of a few steps: fill out the online application (usually within about 10 minutes), confirm information about your company and your identity, and after successful verification you can start using your business account immediately.   • The fee of a business current account online depends on the plan you pick. Opening the account itself costs nothing: with the Free Start or Standard plan you use the account for €0/month.

    Depending on the chosen plan, additional optional services may be chargeable (such as extended features or higher service levels), but the initial setup and account opening of a current account for businesses remain free of charge.
  • The account is open to sole traders, freelancers with a VAT number, start-ups, SMEs and registered companies. You need a valid ID document, the VAT number and your company details. An online business checking account works even when the team is one person.
  • A Vivid business account offers modern security standards for digital financial services. Customer funds are kept separate from company assets and are not used for operational purposes. The business checking account is also protected by strong authentication and encrypted data processing according to European data protection standards.   • Yes. The Vivid business account can be connected with common accounting software. Transactions and account statements are automatically synchronised, which significantly simplifies your ongoing bookkeeping. Alternatively, you can export your data at any time as a PDF, CSV, or MT940 file and import it into your accounting system.
  • Opening the Vivid business current account usually takes between 10 minutes and 1 hour, depending on how quickly your information is verified.

    In individual cases, the process may take longer if additional information is required. If you do not receive any feedback after about 2 business days, you should contact support.
  • Yes. The Vivid business account can be fully managed through the Vivid Business & Personal app. In the mobile app, you can make payments, view transactions, manage cards, and switch between your business and personal accounts.

    Additionally, a web platform is available that allows you to manage your business account on the desktop as well.
